Desperate Housewares

About Desperate Housewares

In the 1990’s Life Brown founded and ran a Luggage Prop Rental business, in Los Angeles, that served the movie and theater industries.  He offered a diverse collection of antique and modern luggage and had thousands of pieces.  In addition, he was a well-known Decorator with clients across the United States.

Movie companies, in the late 1990's and early 2000’s were choosing other cities for their shoots.  There were better tax breaks and other benefits.  Mr. Brown decided to move his business to Atlanta.  He and his partner, Leonardo Del Rosario, decided in 2010 to open a retail store that would cater to the Movie and Theater industry and offer both luggage and midcentury furniture.  On April 1, 2010, they opened Desperate Housewares which would be open to the trade and the public at large.
